To all the plasterers!

Woody123 did a plastering course at Northeast plastering in Bedlington many moons ago. Have never looked back, plenty of work. It is ideal if you are a tiler because you have the skills to do your own skimming and rendering as you never know what your going to find underneath the dreaded tile when they are removed. I usually find if I go for a tiling job that they get me back to do plastering or they get me to quote while I am there. The woman of the house normally says eeh you can't get a plasterer round here for love nor money. Go for it mate. Good luck!

i got a plastering dvd from ebay ,filmed in a training centre
showed you how and why, then fixed plasterboard to a wall in the garden
after a couple of hours (and a few boards) later you get the idea how
plaster and trowel work.

Over the past 2 1/2 decades I have made the efforts to work with as many of the different trades as possible (when the opportunity arose and circumstances permitted ) I can now build a house from the ground up including excavating and have done some small projects from scratch to finish.
After all building a house is not rocket science.
Since I am not a licensed electrician or plumber I would get them to come in and inspect what I do before the city inspector would come through and everything was good.
I don't do renovations anymore as the stone work is on the rise.
But if you can, learn everything you can.
The worst crime is ignorance.
Plus it makes it difficult for others to scam you if you know what the score is.
