Whats your pref on finishing tops of tiles when only half the wall is tiled to waist height?

I prefer to use beading unless theres lots of angles but i know alot of folk just caulk top and paint same colour as top half of wall

What do you usually recommend to customers and think looks best?

L shape trim for me, it mitres around external corners better than a quadrant trim.

personally ill rec. L shape trim or the quadrant trim which gives a better finish imo but each to there own i suppose

I don't like quadrant on the top of tiles. Depending on the finish of tile and type of tile i'd either caulk, l shaper trim or taper a grout finish.

Deppends on the tile I suppose but modern ceramic or porcs the L trim looks good. Have finished off just with grout on customers request when doing small rustic looking 10x10s, large format rectified porcs I like to see the body of the tile so no trim, same for stone.

each job is different, I take into account the tiles used, the layout of the room and the desired overall effect. The L shaped trim is nice, but sometimes even that can look a little bit too much.
