Toilet waste height

Sorry , I have another question about the waste pipe now that I have added probably 35-40 mm to the toilet floor since taking the old bog out . New one coming this week but i'd like to tile first and am concerened that the new height will mean waste pipe will be too low for new bog and don't want to tile obviously if the pipes will have to be altered .


Is it best just to leave that area until I know for sure where the pipe will be going ,

leave the existing pipe as is and tile around it then fit an off set multiquick when fitting the pan

You can get an offset coupler to sort that out.

As above. Better to have the pipe too low and too high in most cases. It's a maul getting something to fit when they're higher than needed and you normally only get one chance of shortening the old pipe and they're often a right maul to replace fully when you're only really tiling the place.

It is on average 7 inch to centre of pipe.. and as mentioned an offset waste usually does the trick.

Thats a big offset! Mcalpine do one to cope with it BUT they can block up as there isnt much of a clear 'line' through the connector and any large 'jobbies' can get hooked up on it
