tolerance for 20mm 800 by 800 lime stone

I have a problem with some stone that has now arrived on site. it is from lapicida Can some one tell me the expectable tolerance for the above stone. lapicida

Is this calibration tolerance Dean or sizing of width..Either way i would say the accepatable is +/- 1mm

ok we have 16mm 17mm 18mm 19mm 20mm 21mm and 22mm and it is chiped to bits

+/-1mm can mean a 799 and an 801 tile within the same batch so if you space the tiles at 3-4mm as you need to with 20mm limestone on the bigger ones it will mean a 5-6mm joint when a small one meets a big one and an 8mm joint if 2 small ones meet through the field, so I guess even at such a small margin of tolerance it wont look great I would contact the supplier as if it is square edge cut I wouldnt be happy

:yikes: not the best quality, 16-22mm way to much. no protection in between tiles? can still lay them, just makes work bit harder. chipped tiles could use on cuts

That's rank sizes to handle, i had problems with a 600x600x20 last year, 2 mm joints i had on 115m2 floors.
I had the suppliers lorry with me 3 times dropping and lifting pallets.
My probs were more chips and badly off square.

when I say wedged Deano I mean 20mm thick one side 18mm thick on the opposite edge like slate can be at times

The man has paid £45000.00 for this stone he is not impressed. We have a rep coming in the morning but they are saying there is a 4mm tolerance with this type of stone. I have advised my client that I think it is + - 1mm but will ask the gods of tiling :lol:
