There were several attempts at laying this stone after I had refused to do it. They sent a tiler theat was supsed to be the tiler that tiles all there showrooms and he got about 8 or 10 m2 down and then desided that he couldn't do it. Then they sent a team from Israel and they Laid it all there was v joints and 6mm lips all over the place chips and scratches but it was ok they would grind it all flat and run a grinder down the joints to make them all uniform. The finish that this team left was unacceptable so they sent another chap and he put a better finish on the floor. I have now heard that the tiles are poping up and cracks are appearing all over the floor and it may all have to come up LOL.

Shocking! I take it the border was installed to get around the chipped edge problem?

ok its all coming back to me now.
i had a call about whether i would do or try and rectify this job.
dont think i mentioned this at time.
but i do know the story. small world is the stone business!!

One of my customer use them and I had same problem with the limestone.take the tiles back and re deliver. I think they get them from different supplier and double the money bx the name.

I fixed some honed and polished sandstone from lapicida for a client once. When I checked the crate it had foam between the slabs which had left lines all over the tiles which did not come off. Tried all sorts to remove them. Lapicida were contacted and refused to help in anyway shape or form. My client was buying hundreds of metres off them each year and stopped using them and went for porcelain.
