Top Gear delayed until 2013

There will be no more Top Gear episodes this year, apart from a Christmas special, according to its presenter Jeremy Clarkson.

Speaking via his Twitter account, Clarkson revealed that, “There’s a rumour in internet land that there will be no more Top Gear this year. I’m afraid that apart from an Xmas Special, it’s true.”

Do you think this is down to Clarkson's gob as of late and complaints or maybe because of the Olympics..?

I personally think they are getting a bit stale and silly, the show is more about how ccrrrraazzzy they can be and not much about the cars. The India episode was just embarassing.
Maybe it's a good thing that they have a break.

I'm off to cry for a bit, and then cancel my direct debit for my TV licence. First the BBC loses most of the F1 and now Top Gear is having cut backs, if Eastenders goes, I'll have a breakdown :lol:

After further reading it seems it's down to the XFactor and clash of time slots on a Sunday.

I wish they'd just scrap these singing shows they're all rigged and end up with rubbish singers releasing number 1s for xmas and then never seen again.

Surely the blokes get the TV on that one night and the women can watch the Xfactor all week then if they want to.

Lol! I'm having therapy if that makes any difference, got weened off Hollyoaks a couple of months ago, Eastenders is proving a little harder!

Top Gear's ratings have only ever increased year on year. Their shows are not just car related though you're right.

They're self-employed presenters and generally they get away with a lot because they're each individually accountable for what they say. Jeremy being the most outspoken. But it'll never get cancelled because of Jeremy they paid a lot to get him back years ago when they lost him as he couldn't run it how he wanted to.

I think it's a good thing that it's not boring like Fifth Gear that are always just doing reports on the cars and getting a lass put lipstick on while going over bumps to test suspension. Booooring.

best show ever made imo, got all the chrismas specials on dvd, will have to watch a few of them to keep me going..

i heard it was because of the football, euro 2012 or whatever its called (i know nowt about footy)..
