A year or so ago I was surfing through 'agents', pages advertising their clients for after dinner speeches etc and came across this rally driver, (name escapes me now) who was advertied as the stig so until recently didn't realise it was such a big issue!

It will be a few different people with this guy, whoever it is, being one of them. Is it the formula three guys they use when they have mad bus races around a track and stuff, I bet they're on call ready to fill in should the main guy be racing or whatever.

Perry McCarthy was the first stig in the black overalls. I met him as he did an after dinner speech when I worked for JCB.

but he's not the current stig.
