I read this at the weekend in the Sun I think.

I think there are a few 'Stigs' not just one man. Ben Collins owns a company that supplies people with stunt drivers and racing drives so I guess he will continue to supply Top Gear with more stigs

Some mysteries are better left that way. I like the idea of some guy on his deathbed fifty years from now uttering his last words that he's the Stig.
