how about some of those poles that are used for holding plastic sheets to the ceiling etc . you can get them in different lengths. you squeese the handle and it gets longer. like a Silicon gun. you could use them on the reveals of windows or across the top of a door to hold a tile or a batton . saves finding and cutting up battons to wedge up a batton.
