Went back to a pencil & the blue pens that Dave sells.

Have you seen how much they cost?
Can buy 100 pencils for 1 of them and a pencil can mark your datum line as well.
Like the china white though!

I bought some a while back but wouldnt bother again. They mark well but only if tile is dry and they tend to slide back into the casing too easily. Hope that helps.

Graphite pencils it is then for gloss tiles and my staedler pencils for everything else.

Def not 100 for 3 pound tho more like 6 pound for 12

I like the Trades Markers on dark tiles, make sure its dry before using, and clean wax off the polished porcs. Problem is that the markers break easily in the tube - so can work out quite expensive as a lot gets chucked away. I agree a good pencil works best on most tiles - I usually buy packs of 10 Staedlers from supermarket.

I use those blue markers trade tiler sells. or a red pencil they sell if the blue isn't visible.
everything else is a staedtler pencil.
I buy them on eBay for 20 gbp for 72 pencils. that usually lasts me a year or more
