The Agender Development Partnership (DP) addresses one of Equal’s themes, that of gender inequality and job desegregation and works with pilot Children’s Centres, Further and Higher Education and private sector training groups to establish these alternative career paths for women.
This is done through:
• Research
• Promoting non-traditional roles/career choices
• Training women in non-traditional areas
• Helping men consider careers in childcare
• Helping children’s centres develop information and advice services for parents
• Helping employers develop policies that counter gender stereotypes.
