Hi All
Just a quick few questions re Travertine advice please.
I have had a call from a customer where the tiler has failed to turn up half way through a job and has left it in a bit of a mess.
1. The tiles are Honed Travertine and i have an en suite shower cubicle to do plus surrounding walls half way up. The walls are solid concrete and need to be levelled in some way. What would be the best way to take the dips out of the walls without doing any Backer Boarding as the shower tray is already in? The tiles are 450 x 450 Travertine. The floor has been plyed with 12mm ply. Would i need to use Dittra for a 2 metre floor or would a 2 part be ok? The customer has sealed every tile with HG Impregnator.
2. Downstairs is a good solid concrete floor. 30 metres to do and needs levelling. Was going to use Mapei Latexplan. Would i need to use Dittra as well after levelling? I dont think i need to use Dittra but if you advise then i can price it in to the job. Also what Weber product would be the best? I was thinking of using Weber SPF. Would i be over specifying using Weber.rapidset with AD250 addative?
Thanks in advance for any advice and apologies if my question seems a little rushed....the customer has asked me for a price tonight!!
One final question is what is the going rate per metre for Travertine in the South Wales area these days for fixing only?
