It was mike who give me the idea when he said about putting down a bed and letting it dry first. The only way I could think of doing this acccurately was to do as Jay said.

I never let the bed dry put it in and rake it Ill mix some sand with white adhesive and go go go go around the room then tile it it takes mintues

The problem I was having though was the bed thickness being too thick which was allowing the mosaics to sag so i think in my circumstance it may be best to let the adhesive go off.
