Instead of putting trim on external corners you can mitre at a 45 degree angle,
but is there an alternative to using a plastic trim when your tiling just ends partway along a wall?
How about a mitre at a 45 degree angle from the surface of the tile going in (so that the back of the tile is a bit thinner). You then have a small trianglualr void which you could grout do you think? and then carve a straight edge in the grout with a thin wallpaper scraper.
That way you dont have an edge of tile exposed but a grouted or siliconed edge, would that look any good?
