Trim for more than 90 degrees?

To get the exact angle on those corners then use a sliding bevel or simliar tool and then transfer it to the trim.....

I can see this working for a cut across the width of the trim (ie as per normal) but will it work for the trim for a vertical angle? ie not a wall and a shelf but 2 walls not at 90 meeting on an external angle. (confused?)

Yes!! you just reverse the bevel once the angle is taken.....I have a joinery background so finding angles is second nature using a sliding bevel....there are other ways but i find this is easy and quick to take the angle and transfer it across.......what method do you use frogeye mate..?.

I was under the impression that rocky was talking about having to mitre the tiles on a vertical line where two tiles met? Not a horizontal piece of trim?

Have those several G & T's addled my brain? :yes: (probably)

Hi again, sorry for any confusion caused, I originally asked if it was better or not to use trim on an external angle that is more than 90 degree's. From what I have heard on here I think I will go without the trim and mitre the tiles, but to add further fuel to the fire, should I leave a grout line or butt the tiles on the mitred joint, sorry for all the questions but it ain't half helpful, cheers.

I am not a lover of tile trim full stop, but I admit it has its uses.

I left my window, which some would have trimmed, au natural. The tiles were good enough for it and I grouted the edges. Looks fine to me. I think if you are using a 2mm grout line then you should only have to angle the inside edge of one tile to butt it up to the other, then grout. Make sure you don't leave yourself with a sharp edge.
