I have picked up a job that involves a fair ammount of trim work (about 20m), I would usually use corner pieces and caps on my three way joins but the customer has already bought some cream trim which I can't find bits for.

Could anyone post a pic of a three way mitre with a little exlination so I know what i'm doing, going to have a little practice first as the job isn't for two weeks.

Also I am tiling an ensuite first week of september, I am full tiling the shower cubicle and half tiling the rest. My tiling finnishes being full height and goes to half at the external corner of the shower, would you trim up to the ceiling and just remove the backing after half way or would you just trim up to your half height tiles leaving the edges of the full height tiles showing?

Thanks for the help

Dave,

I posted the exact same link, but when i clicked it to test it, it just took me to the forum home page??

Any idea where i went wrong, the link i posted was EXACTLY the same, but didnt go there.

I got the link by opening the thread and copy and pasting the link from my address bar.

Then clicking the insert link button in quick reply and pasting the link i'd copied?

Cheers bud, Oli

I was going to the post, then right clicking the link, copy, then going back to this thread, hitting quick reply, then hitting the insert link button and pasting.

Doesnt work in quick reply, but when i reply in the advanced post window it does, and changes the link name from the link from http://www.tilersforums.com/tiling-forum/3605-cutting-tile-trim-3-way-mitre.html" to "Cutting Tile Trim | 3 Way Mitre with Pictures".

Ill just have to remember to use the advanced editor.

if you are using trim at the lower level you will need to trim the full height tiling too, the step back you will get will mean you have to cut the thickness of the tile back from the external corner and then the trim will fit in i would scribe the trim in where it hits the half height tiling you would avoid alot of these problems if you used square edge trim which in my opinion looks far more contempory hope this helps
