It's not expensive to join only 150 at the moment for new membersWhat did they take away @GaryTheTiler ?
Only just joined a couple of weeks ago.im the only tiler within a thirty mile radius of where I'm based.tbh, the main reason I joined was to be able to display the logo on the van and business cards.adds a bit of panache...lol
Can you state what criteria you had to produce to join. ?
Last 5 job invoices.the e mails of two recent customers. Two recent job addresses and name and address of a time served trader ( preferably a tiler) I used a kitchen fitter!
Federation of Small Businesses is totally different. And much bigger I dare say.I might join. Although I'm currently a member of the Fsb and I don't use them for nothing really. But I guess the tta would be more appropriate.
Not really Glen ,The TTA is worth being a member of, to give you back up, if things go wrong and it ends up in court , as long as you have fixed by the book, and the prep ( your responsibility ) is correct.
They will independently assess your work, and in court, as a professional body, this will go for you.
As opposed to clients, getting in their own assessor ( tiler ) and making a report against you, you can insist that the TTA assess the project, if they refuse access, you have great grounds for a claim / counter claim
Not really Glen ,
Sometimes a court will want an in dependant expert witness , if you are a TTA member then the TTA cannot be classed as Independant as you are part of the TTA it happened to Phil Hobson
