oh yes, thats when wrestling was wrestling, gaint haystacks, big daddy, mick mac manis, and some guy with a mask that everyone tried ripping off.........happy days..

That would have been Kendo Nagasaki Andy. I remember visiting my grandparents every saturday and my grandfather so excited waiting for Dickie Davies to announce that "we now go to Southport town hall to see the wrestling" with Kent Walton commentating. My grandad was a university educated civil engineer, very intelligent, and thought the wresting was real. :smilewinkgrin:. The old ladies in the front row with their hats and bags shouting "hit him' made me laugh.

:lol: Kendo Nagasaki, that was a "made up" name Kendo is a Japanese fencing type sport, and Nagasaki is a Japanese City, it would be the equivalent of an English wrestler , working in Japan calling himself Tennis Salford, don't sound right do it?:smilewinkgrin:
