Done my back a few years ago lifting a heavy bath, but luckily the customer was a physiotherapist. She put something called Uddermint on it a few days after the ice pack and rest. She did explain to me what it was after it went on, but I'll let you guys decide if you would of had it rubbed in if you knew what it was used for beforehand.

If you ever get the chance to use PLEASE make sure you wash your hands before using the little boys room!!!!!!!

Welcome

All back problems are not created equal, though, kendo. Before my life as a mosaic artist I fixed backs, and depending on the cause of 'doing your back in' i.e. is it a disc problem, facet joint disfunction, piriformis syndrome etc etc, different treatment approaches are needed. And most often the patient, if half way in tune and honest with him/herself does know what's best. They can often feel if moving would be a painful but a good, or a dodgy thing to do, if it needs help with manipulation or soft tissue work, etc etc. Saying that, keeping the body in balance as soon as possible is a good idea, and the weight of lifting tiles and bags of adhesives etc at odd angles can really scupper that, so walking and gym work as well as physio exercises can really help.and being well hydrated, as discs shrink a little like sponges when dehydrated which in turn can cause added compression troubles.
