whats the best way to unlocking a phone, are any of these internet sites any good?

Just take it to a local shopping centre and those stalls selling phone accessories usually do it or computer fairs.
I have unlocked a few over the years with website help or using a disc bought through Ebay.

Depends what phone, certain new phones can't be broken yet. What phone is it?

i can't find that model in the lists, if you google unlocking that phone, it can be done by inputting a code, some are advertising it for £1.99

If you can find it on ebay then I've gone down that route before, the local shop wanted £30 to unlock it, the ebay guy charged me about a fiver iirc.

but be careful there are cons out there what network is it on and how long have you had it on a contract ?

what a blooming nightmare this is turning out to be, we bought the phone brand new from tesco on there network, but wanted to unlock it, so we can use it on vodefone, went round ever stall, shop in town to try and get it unlocked but apparently its to new :mad2:

ended up having to pay £20 to tesco to do it and it can take up to 28 days.....double :mad2::mad2:..

if you want unlocked phones buy them from carphone warehouse they come unlocked sometimes its great but if you want something thats comes with a branded phone not so good
