Update:
Following discussions with retailers about the 365Drills range of SMALL hole core drills [sizes 6mm and 8mm] we have taken on board a number of suggestions.
It would seem that not all customers want the same thing. Some installers are professional tilers seeking better value for money for bulk or trade purchases.
Others are DIY enthusiasts who (with a bathroom already tiled with difficult to drill porcelain) are looking to install a single extra item like a loo roll holder or mirror. They do not want to buy more diamond core drills than they actually need.
In an effort to cater to the biggest market we have revised our range of small cores in the 6mm and 8mm sizes and have started a 6 month trial to see what customers will select.
The above screen shot from our website gives a full breakdown of the pack size options for these two popular diamond core drill bit sizes.
We hope that buy offering a selection of pack sizes to both internet and retail customers that we can expand our client base of stockists.
Of course there are a number of downsides
1)So much choice can be confusing for customers.
2) It means more barcodes, backing cards,
3) Its more storage
4) Greater chance of picking errors
But I think with careful management that the cost of providing the extra choice to the customer is worth the buisness risk.
Effective immediately all pack choices are available at the 365Drills website.
Our factory now holds a wider range of stock for the 6mm and 8mm sizes
Is it worth offering so many options for two sizes? (Time will tell)
