Having a few days off to sort a few matters out i wanted to make the most of it, so while i was in Coventry at the tool fair, I made the short journey to see David at Tradetiler.
I had never been there before despite years of shopping online with the company.
Its real easy to find although i did have the help of a SatNav. no mateer which way you come i cant see you getting lost, the industrial estate is well sign posted and so are road names.
On parking up and entering the door into what is essentially a collection point i was greeted by David and after introductions i was led into the warehouse....1st impressions were....I GOTTA DO A TROLLEY DASH !. I would class the unit as a standard size trading unit with racking to a high level and mostly full.
At one end of the unit is where staff prepare your orders, along with telephone facilities for when David is busy in the office or at the counter. This ensures you dont have to wait long for service.
While i was chatting to David the buzzer on the front door sounded to say someone had come into the store. As David served the customer who i assume had pre called for an item, staff that was packing the last items for postage came over and chatted . Its a very freindly business i must say, the lady ( forgot her name) was very knowedgeable about the tools sold and was happy to show be around and answer any questions.
While chatting i couldnt help notice that the customer being served had fell into the old trap...Lots of tools on display and Tools are good...Must have tools ! i am sure he left with far more than he expected to !
David returned and we concluded our little transaction and i sat in the office where he seemed more than happy to talk about buisness past and present. Remember David was a full time tiler before setting up Tradetiler in a garage. I feel this puts other tilers at ease knowing that info given is not just from a profit side but also an experienced tilers view point. We agreed on many topics and time soon flew by.
A most enjoyable afternoon and if anyone is thinking of buying from Tradetiler i would recommend calling in to the shop in person but call 1st to make sure everything is in stock which i am sure will be.
The coffee is good too
