ohhnoo

I know its not exactly a pro machine and I've read the blade is not the best but it's the best I could afford. The machine is only a couple of months old and I'm currently doing my second travertine job with it. There's plenty left on the blade but now I'm having difficulty making perfectly straight cuts. The problem I'm having is the start of the cut for the first 25mm or so the cut is not in line with the rest of the cut so when I put a straight edge against the cut edge I can see 0.5mm daylight for the first 25mm. I've been getting around this problem by doing a careful back stroke which removes this bump. I've noticed there is slight play where the bearings run in the track and when I pull and push the head the assembly it has slight side to side movement. There is an adjustment bolt that when tightened exerts pressure via a leaf spring onto the front bearings so I tightened this and it did help a bit but the play is still there. Can anyone offer any suggestions to help eleviate this problem or is it a combination of a poor blade and the play.

whip it back to place of purchase maybe you could add some cash and upgrade it,i would have thought 12mnth warranty with all electricals

Im assuming the movement is with it switched off? IF so then im with Foggy above and take it back!

I have had the plasplugs version of this for about 5 years so it should cope with what you have ben throwing at it, unless your first job was a thousand metres!

I thought about returning it but it's a big heavy lump so was hoping someone with experience of the machine could come up with a magic solution.

Didn't know plasplugs made overhead radial cutters thought they only made flatbed.
The play in the overhead bearing track is there whether it's on or off It's only done about 45sqm in total so I think I shouldn't have to try and fix it and will return it and get my money back, when the jobs finished of course:smilewinkgrin:.
