I was contacted by a no win no fee outfit a while ago about my endowment policies. They said i had grounds to complain that they were mis sold and that i could be due compensation. Well, i thought, no win no fee......i got nowt to lose so thought .... Yeah lets go for it.
Anyway..... They asked me a load of questions and filled in some forms and sent them out to me for signing which i did and sent em off.
I thought .... Naah this wont come to anything. Anyway, thre months down the line i gets a letter from my building society saying they have upheld my complaint on a number of grouds. Bear in mind my endowment like many others is set to fall short by some eight or nine grand, i read the first part of the letter and thought...... Yipppeeee, a bit of good fortune, i am getting compo.
I read the rest of the letter which explained why they have upheld the complaint and that they were going to make an offer of compensation. I gets to the last page and read the amount..........wait for it...........
A staggering £54.63. Of which i will have to pay the no win no fee outfit 40%...... so i get just ove £30. Whooop whoop says i......an hour os so in the pub to drown pmy sorrows about the policy failing i guess........
