John, this one works, although you then are seriously on the hook and under pressure to get your act together ASAP.

Tell her that you have something nice for her, but it will be a few more days because the order was delayed or some such excuse.

Then, get her something very nice, something that seems as if it were made-to-order or something else that could plausibly have been held up.

Like Sauve said above, get yer wallet out mate and get ready to spend some moolah.

Just make her feels special .... you don't need a present for this. Of course it's better with present but 24 years are pretty long time...I'm sure that you know how to make her feeling good even without any present.
