urgh i have booked a holiday for me the wife n kids in tunisia in may,1st foreign holiday in years and iv just seen the news the place is in uproar with brit tourists being evacuated as civil war rages

do you think i will get deposit back from thamos cook,where do we stand with things like that does anyone know

its a party booking,whole family going type thing i beleive wifes mum paid on credit card and we paid her cash in return for organising it,i will have to wait till mornin to find out

i would assume thomas cook wd either let you transfer your hols to another destination no one can foresee things like that happening?

i booked to go to the aqua fantasy, kusadasi, turkey with the kids in july last year...went into 1st choice on the thursday night and booked. everybody was happy, then decided to go home and check the reviews????

tonnes of bad reviews about hygene, food etc etc ...i thought, is this place where i want to take my little 2 yr old too, no.
went into 1st choice 2 days later and told them about the poor reviews and said i wanted to change the holiday to the adams beach, nissi beach cyprus.... they did a few phone calls and wanted an extra £25 per person as an admin rebooking charge. i reminded them that the new destination was costing me more not less and they agreed to just cancel the 1st booking and id pay no more........now dont forget, i changed after 2 days, when did you originally book?? that bits important

Hopefully you paid by credit card, but if not, I thought the government had to declare it a no travel zone for your insurance to pay out if it becomes a war zone......

we booked and paid in november,we have only paid deposits so far and we have the final balance to pay by march

i know its a few months away but no way on this earth am i taking my kids to a country thats sitting as unstable as that at the mo

i think it will be okay ic ant see travel cos taking people holiday money if a country is deemed unstable i will find out in the morning

I heard on the news Thomas Cook have cancelled all departures to Tunisa, so yes indeed you will get a refund. So stop sweating, and book up someplace else.
