I was nervous as hell on my first job and couldn't think straight when I was looking at the room. Had to step back, open my flask, and settle myself down, but once you get started you're fine. Been tiling for 3 years now and although I still get the odd flutter it does get easier with time.
The other thing to remember is that you tend to be far more critical of your work than most customers will be......they just look at the finished effect rather than examining it close up as you do.

I tiled for over 20 years man and boy.The last job I did was 50mtrs porcelain with underfloor heating,5 sizes of tile in a pattern,and an island unit the size of Lancashire to tile around and meet back up.I did the job,lived every cable ,every tile, every cut and considered and worried about everything that could go wrong.I got it all done without a hitch,AND THEN WOKE UP!!!sweating like a whoare.Went to work and did the job. All that experience and still in the back of your mind you think this could be the one that goes wrong.It is the fear of cocking up that drives you to get it right, take your time and enjoy what your creating,the regular lads on here will set you straight if you get stuck:wink_smile:

always take your time and look at your set out and do the job as if itwere for yourself ,if your not sure about anything just ask, great advice available on this forum and its free. always take pride in your work . Still get nervous ,but never had as mutch job satisfaction in my life. enjoy your work

always take it step by step time spent on the layout ill always save you time on the job
i still always lay the tiles out dry to check the cuts and i dont get any nasty surprises
