Wet tile cutter for 12mm 900x600mm limestone £150

Guys,

I can see from the other posts these Q's get asked a lot, but I also see the answer depends on the stone you're trying to cut.
So, what is a good wet cutter for about £150 for limestone tiles of 12mm thick with the largest stone being 900x600mm.

240V only.

I know the DeWalt 24000 is the best and the only tile cutter you pros use etc etc, but as I'm a DIY'er and only planning to tile the kitchen and front room floors and then (in the future, with a different tile) the bathroom, it's plainly not worth spending £800 on the cutter!

A good candidate so far is the Briccolina. Would this be a good choice?

The Briccolina is'nt suitable, have you thought about hiring one....

As Whitebeam has suggested, hire one or, a grinder with a good blade will cost you about £90-100.

I'm not absolutely against hiring but I had hoped to buy as I don't want to rush the job. What would you recommend as suitable and how much would it cost? (Both to hire and to buy).

I called the tool hire centre today, they can do me a Tyrolit for the weekend for £50 inc blade usage and transformer. He was unable to give me a model number. A google search revaels the TTE250 as the only hit. Do you guys think this will be sufficient for my purposes? I see the cut length in the specs is 730mm, so I'm guessing I will be able to cut anywhere on the 900x600mm tiles by changing the orientation of the tile to the saw - or does the tile always need to be face up?

Let me know if it's a yes or a no. If no, what do I need to find?

Not a saw I've used or even seen to be honest. Another option would be to buy a Dewalt d24000 and sell it after you have finished with it, they fetch very strong money second hand especially if they've only been used a couple of times.
