What angle grinder?

Had some problems with my wet cutter the other day and this left me pretty stuffed, I want to invest in an angle grinder and would apreciate some feedback on makes, models and ones to avoid! Budget would probably be about £75ish,

Most angle grinders seem to feel about the same, from what I've seen. Personally I use an Hitachi - but never used it in the tiling sense. I have a small one and a large one, they are exactly the same as my local tool hire company use - and they can't recommend them highly enough. I figure if they are tough enough for the hire market - then they will be fine for me. My tool company only hire's the best - not rubbish.

The same as me, dont know where my wet cut is as havent used it for sooooooo long, anything big i use my radial arm wet cutter.

Hi cjbombero,

What type and make/model of wet cutter do you have and what problems are you experiencing?

I understand the immediate benefits and attraction of using a grinder with a suitable blade.

However I still believe the accuracy and cut finish acheived with a good wet cutter is worth the extra set-up time, even more so on harder and more expensive materials.

There is an obvious need for a serious re-think about the design of all types of wet tile saws (table top, sliding cart and rail/bridge) and I was hoping to better understand your current frustrations?

I'll be the odd man out. I use Metabo angle grinders the one designed for tilers in mind it has a narrow barrel that make it a comfy fit in the hand. NO CRAMPING!!!
