All depends on your personal circumstances. Normally Sole Trader is preferable as it is much simpler. Limited Companies have more administration and regulations to follow and can give a BIT more protection against debts.

Avoid a Ltd Co if you can.

If you are a sole trader do you not pay more tax 22% tax and 8%national insurance
When you are an ltd company you pay 19% tax don’t know how much national insurance you pay

You will have your accounts at company house where any one can view them and your accountant charges loads more, but if you go bankrupt they can't touch your private acounts just your companys. long time since it happened to me.:lol:

Sole trader or self employed

I think your mad :lol:


Self employed, maybe, depending on turnover really.

Also if you become very busy and need to start hiring other workers, like a few plasterers and bathroom fitters to grow your little empire, then LTD company may be better for you.
