what do i do with the tanking at the edges ?

Hi, ive tanked the shower and ive got an over lap or the tanking on the shower tray, what do i do ?

tile it and then run a stanly knife on it and peal it of, grout it and Silicon ?

Also, how thick should the adhesive be when i am laying the tiles on it.

Put a tile flat against the wall and let it rest on the tray and use a pencil against the tile, do this around the tray marking with the pencil to give you a mark the thicknes of the tile.

Use a stanley but cut inside the pencil mark nearer the wall then remove any excess.

What size tiles are you fixing.

What do you use to sick it to the tray.? spf addy or sanitary Silicon.

The tanking tape should only be onto the tray slightly,hope you siliconed the joint from wall to tray first too?your paste will hold the tape in place if you've done it proper.

yes i did Silicon the join first.

tiles are 12mm.

once ive removed the excess, should i tile it and then then grout, with the grout, do i grout the bottom tile to the tray or just Silicon that part ?

Use Silicon for the bottom joint between tile and tray and grout next day.
