hahaha, old forum members used to have this craic, makes me cringe stuff I used to do, more sedate these days though. Used to skydive (cat 8 qualified), rock and free climb, gigs..loads of gigs, fishing (trout and salmon)...mainly now though I work my two dogs on partridge, grouse, woodcock and pheasant shoots, listen to music as I'm cooking tea/dinner and do my best Keith Floyd impression while I'm cooking

I truly hate heights, scaffolds bother me at times and high rise balconies!
The trouble is I have to hang on for dear life because I'm filled with the urge to jump!
I used to think I was a freak! (Keep your comments to yourselves please!)
But I've since found others out there! Haha
Skydiving I can handle, cat8 too, cos u get two goes!

I've done 2500+ skydives, 23 BASE jumps, sky surfed and got into free flying. Tried wing suits (12 years ago - nothing like how they are now), always rode super bikes ... but I can't even watch them crazy Russian kids doing one armed pull ups 300 ft up an antenna tower nor can I watch free climbers - makes my sphincter go all funny

have you heard of a guy called Mark Kirkby, Arizona Airmoves? he was my housemate for a few years and I was his best man when he married to get his "green card" haha,,,most succesful skydiver in the history of the world, along with Dan Brodski-Chenfield, who I was lucky enough to do a jump with too

My hero was Olav Zipser from the FlyBoyz. He revolutionised skydiving by bringing free flying to all of us bored with regular box man formation work back in the 90s. Spent many months in Florida each xmas and new year for pretty much all of the 90s and blagged as many jumps with him as possible. What that bloke can do would make your jaw drop.

free flying and base just scare the crap outta me, only ever did 1 base (building, antennae, span, earth to the uninitiated), it was an "earth" here in lakes, talk about ground rush,,,I've not jumped for nearly 25 years now, but will get knees back in the breeze one day

Last time I went skydiving they gave me a rucksack instead of a parachute !! Pulled the strap and a box of sandwiches came out !!....thought it must be a long way down they've packed lunch..
