Done a lot of work in a big Thatched place down my way a few years ago.

Did a small job there today.

Anyway.....when the place was restored a few years ago...........the original pannets (terracotta tiles) where lifted and cleaned up. (250x250 x approx 30/40mm thick)

The owners chose to have them relaid butted together! (Done by builder)

No grout of any description was used....as they where quite tight together.

Now they are fed up with the muck collecting between the very small joints, These pannets are years and years old.......so not totally square and a bit battered at some of the edges.

Anyway......they now want the things grouted:confused:

Not sure on this?, as already mentioned they are 30/40mm thick and it would cost a few bob on grout........and I'm not convinced :icon9:

Was thinking of sand/cement..........or maybe Geofix (usually for block paving) but not used this before.

Has anyone used geofix?????????

Or are there any bright idea's out there??????

Cheers

I did think of that Dave............only problem is. Its a big area (about 50m) and 30/40mm deep.

It will cost a lot for grout........as well as time. which is why Geofix came into my head:icon9:

Don't really want this job......but these are old customers/friends
Bal do a marble and terrazzo grout...very very fine powder...this may do you...Gaz
