what does he use

Hi all, i am a kiwi tiler and i am trying to help a friend out who lives over there in somewhere called Coleraine. i would like to know what other waterproofing compound is used over there besides mapei, he can only find it in 15kg lots, he would only need a ltr

Mapei do a 5kg shower kit as do a lot of others. Serach for BAL WP1.... hang on here....

A lot of others do a similar kit all around the £50-£60 mark although dunlop do one at around £30 from memory

Coleraine's not that far from me Crash. I should have a litre in the van if he wants to pick it up.
As has been said, Bal, dunlop and Benfer do small kits, (4kg ish)

Have a couple of unneeded litres of membrane lying here in the direction of Belfast if your mate is ever in the big smoke. A full waterproofing kit with tanking bands and seals costs around £40 but there's usually plenty of liquid leftover from one kit to the next.
