This shower was installed by B&Q some 2 years ago, it seems the Silicon seal was never done properly, and over time has rotted the floor, plasterboard and stud work, but they have left it so long for it to be rectified, just look at the mess they have made trying to prevent the leak, before getting it done properly! and the man of the house is a building site manager in london. :mad2:

I know B&Q are bad but I do not believe they did that for one second.
that is properly the worst i have seen and if its true, issues should have defiantly been raised by the client, and it would be the fitters fault and the clients for not raising issues.
the amount they charge for standard tiling would feed a small country.(they pay the fitters £30m2 and charge almost double m2)

now i understand..
did he raise his issues with B&Q. they do have dodgy fitters in the company but trying to police such a big workforce can be a huge task. We as small company's have to pride ourselves on reputation or we suffer the consequences, and this does seem to get overlooked when they work for bigger company's.(heard bad things about dolphin as well ) a family member manages the fitting side of things in the north west and deals with issues raised, bad fitters do not last the test of time, but somehow get there foot in the door.
B&q never made the mess you see now, the owner did trying to prevent water coming through ceiling!

And thats the reason I would never work on site or buy a new house. I'd prefer to build one out of Lego and live in that. If the customer is a site manager, and that's his house, then what do you think he lets go on new build. I dread to think. I've removed cleaner bathrooms than that!!!!

From the state of what's visible are we proportioning blame to the original tiler for a bit of bad Silicon work or the acceptance of the householder for living in/with such conditions. Sometimes there can be a bit too much information provided.

the job would have looked fine when it was done, i cant believe how the owner has done what they have, and lived like it, getting worse, i didnt take a picture of the hole in the ceiling in the kitchen that's been there for 6 months !
