I hate dry hands too Ishy!
But get yourself a bottle of 'Certraben Emollient Cream' usually 500g. You can find it on Ebay, cracking stuff, really solved my cracked fingers.
I'm not a massive fan of working all day, then coming home and doing paper work and quotes all evening, just don't get chance to switch off some days.
