Discuss What size notched trowel for solid bed ? in the Canada Tile Advice area at TilersForums.com.

Hi there, this is my 2nd posting following my 1st one earlier this morning (solid bed or dot n dab)

As I suspected everyone says to use the solid bed method, especially in wet areas.

As I may go back to doing the tiling myself on some jobs is it acceptable to use a larger notched trowel, especially if working with large tiles and/or uneven walls and if so what size would you's guys suggest ?

Any tips/advice would be appreciated.

I appreciate all the replies/advice received so far,

Tom
