I believe he used evo stick floor tile adhesive which he was told was suitable for underfloor heating

I advised him and gave him the number of a local tiler but if my advise is not taken what can I do at least I can now tell him where he went wrong thank you to all of you who have replied I'm very great full and will stick with my moto horses for course always use a professional

I always leave the customer with clear instructions not to turn on the underfloor heating for a minimum of two weeks after the last tile was laid and then only on the lowest setting increasing by 1 deg each day until max temp reached. But as above unfortunately more info needed to give more advice.

If the wire was covered with self levelling before tiling you may have a chance of removing them and relaying without damage to the heating, if it was tiled straight onto the wire then your in the proverbial.

did he leave any gaps between the ply sheets or were they butted up hard to each other?
