Have you thought about a dust extractor rather than a tradtional vacuum?

On the subject of the Wickes wet and dry, a mate of mine that works with me from time to time has one and after taking the mick about him buying his tools from Wickes I have to say i've eaten my words, fantastic bit of kit for so little money, he's used it for all sorts of crap (in every meaning of the word!) over the years and it's still going strong but even if it did pack up, you can't complain for the money. I'm certainly thinking of getting one to add to the arsenal.

I have a bosch GAS 50 110v its a decent wet and dry vacuum but bags are expensive but it has self cleaning filters so it can be used for dust extraction when cutting , going to buy a pre seperator/ash collector from machine mart which attaches in-line on the vacuum pipes the up rates the dust extraction of even a cheapo hoover for when you are doing surface prep work

Henry takes some abuse. There's a reason why every cleaning contractors in the country use them.

Bought a spare one last month from a liquidation sale for £20. Couldn't believe it, second hand ones tend to still get £40 or £50.

Used a GAS50 before and they're definately what to go for if you're doing a lot of grinding etc, the Henry just clogs up after a while.
