Diamond Pool Finishers

Do you think it might have something to do with the unusual high temperatures for us in uk.i am sure products are tinkered with in accordance with perceived mean temperatures in a given country .
There have been some funny goings on with othr products in this climate
Great point here Jonny ,when i went to the mapei HQ ,they said this happens with all there products ! they make them to suit the climate, but with britain we get the -lot lol......
Oh Mr t as your mate said don't worry about pools yet !! you get to a good standard to to make £500 a week first that will take about ten-years then you can think about specialising .

Swimming pools are super specialised Mr Tea.
There might be lots of metres, but believe me mosaicing to that standard takes years of practise. These lads are specialists and even the most talented of tilers wouldn't tackle a complicated pool. Setting out, levels and working the pool to make full tiles are things are critical here. The water will create it's own level and show up any defects. Some of the mosaic is paper faced so is fixed back to front, so you can't see if you've got the pattern right until the paper is removed.
Old diamond is very understated about the quality of his work, i've i've been tiling for years and i've watched pools being tiled by pro and it's a different skill set all together!

My brother had a swimming pool built in Bahrain in 2011..I was tiling under his pergola at the time..about 25sq mt..but I watched this pool being poured and rendered..and tiled..all by Pakistainis...in flip flops..in heat of 45DEG..they used a pump to spray the cement on..no idea what was in it but had about 4 blokes floating it...you would not believe the tools they turned up with..i would have thrown them away..but my god what a job...all mosaics....looks lovely. and the whole thing including digging out was £10k...cheap or what.
