oooh 5-10 years, I 'd like to run my own artistic mosaic studio with space to rent out to other artists, which would keep the place safe and occupied with all of us part timers ticking over nicely. Own and others' items for sale, too. Good backdrop to produce teaching dvd's and hold courses. Good music and nice view. Light and airy barn type space, whitewashed stone walls, friend's photography of his and our work on display. Sideroom for classes and to rent out to supplement rent/mortgage. Producing mosaics for high end market, who are happy to pay good money for bespoke quality designs. A kiln in there to combine glass tesserae with homemade ceramics wouldn't go amiss. Internet connection, reading+chilling corner for artists. Small reception with till and business cards of tilers who can install the mosaics when I'm to busy doing the arty stuff and nationwide.

Yes, that will do nicely.

hopefully pick a another property to let and start making an income from them(one doesn't make you any money),then i can start working to when suits me i.e 4 day week, would also like to move abroad but the mrs doesn't entertain it(some crap about being close to her family, the further away the better to be honest lol)

Wife has told me I can move away to work : Permanently and as far away as possible, as long as I keep paying the bills

don't know if thats a good offer or not!

A mud hut in the middle of the rain forest would be my ideal !
No bills, no car,no customers, hunt for your own food, then go back and spend the day lounging around whilst the women of the tribe do all the chores and cook :lol:

So your gonna move all the way to Hamsterly then

Oh dear :yikes:

Both children off to uni, or left home, though the youngest may still be with us.

Current development finished and hopefully sold to raise cash for our next move. We want a decent sized house in a good location with up to 8 acres. There are a few on the market at the moment but we aren't in a position to take advantage :(

We may have one or two more properties let out by then, We've got enough to be getting on with in that area right now.
