Which adhesive should I use?

Hi All,

I'm about to start tiling my floor and walls using ceramic tiles for the floor and marble tiles for the walls. I have prepared the walls using hardibacker boards and layed a new floor using 22mm plywood.
Can someone advise me whether Mapei Keraquick or Mapei Keraflex is best to use? This will be my first tiling job so maybe the Keraquick will not give me enough time to work with it?

Also, I need to seal the new floor boards. Does this need to be done on all sides?

Someone has suggested BAL Bond SBR to do this. Is this ok to use with Mapei adhesives?

As always all help is much appreciated.

Regards

Chris

just make sure you are using a flexible adhesive i tend to use bal so i am not too clued up on mapei, would prime with whatever mapei suggest on the bag,if your using rapid-set why not dry cut the floor first then lay, also with walls mix up a lttle at first to see how long it will last

Keraquick and Keraflex are very similar adhesives. Except one is Rapidset ( Keraquick). The "open" time will be alittle longer with Keraflex, but not by much.
