i dont guarantee anything on ply wood and put that on my quotes there are so many good alternatives these days .years ago i used to staple wire mesh to the ply wood and then it was ardex x7 with ardion 90 in it ,didnt ever get any failures like that but have had probs with single part flexi a couple of times and 2 part also some people love ply wood just a case of once bitten twice shy for meDoes anyone really treat the back of ply :whatchutalkingabout

To be honest, you will almost certainly be ok. The sealing is to prevent moisture ingress and hence movement. If it was me, I would just carry on and hope for the best. Unless you have a problem in the house with damp or you have kids that make the floor a paddling pool, I am sure it will be fine!
