which cutter 600 x 600 Travertine

as some of you may know i'm bought some Grade 1 Sparta Polished Travertine 60x60 Tiles 'Vein Cut' off ebay. 1st off what dose vein cut mean??

also what cutter will i need to cut this stuff?

vein cut means that you can see all the sedimentary strata, or layers, formed as it was forming, so a good tile for doing "bookmarked" work imo, To cut I'd use a wet cutter Dean, I've got a Rubi bridge cutter that would cut it just fine

A good wet saw will do the job.
Also an angle grinder, a good quality diamond blade and a steady hand will do.
My curved wet room was all done with a grinder ! Had no choice, was snowing at the time, had to park my van at the top of the track and walk down with the minimum of tools, so wet saw was out of the question

sorry, It's where you match all the grain strands if you will, to make it look like one solid slab of stone

It takes some doing coz you usually tend to match the grout o the stone, so it looks like one big slab..

If you google bookmatching stone, you will see some lovely examples..

I use either wet saw or angle grinder on it Dean. Cuts a dream. Just clean the tile off after using wet saw.
