Hi went to look at a OAP floor that was laid about 20 yrs ago on a cement floor, their are only about 15 gaps were the grout has come out. i put this down to wear and tear over the period of time with being in a kitchen. i intend to rake out any loose grout. But would u advise flex grout or not as the last grout lasted it time.
i doing this as a freebi as she was told the floor was coming up and it would cost her £1200 to retile. I do not know why they told her this as the tiles are as they have only been laid recent. as for being loose i think the bloke is trying it on as she is in her 80s. You can not get any movement even with a crow bar they were laid that well.
Sorry to go on , I just hate when people try it on.
So you see any problems in useing flex-grout and save this old dear her money

Would probably think it doesn't need a flexi grout. Ask her for the number of the guy who told her £1200 and give him a slap for me

i was going to use normal floor grout but i remember reading a post about using flex-grout to patch up. i was just checking to make sure as i have not had to patch up grout before. as regard,s to slap in face i rang trading standards as it was a cold caller she got for her price. Only mobile number no signs on van and refused to answer any questions about general tiling floors when i told who i was.

make sure you clean the joints out well.use a hoover to get the loose out..wet the joints lightly to get a good bond with the new grout.....dave...
