Which sealer?

I've done a fair bit of reading on here about sealers - there seems to be 3 main choices that would suit my needs -

- Lithofin MN Stainstop
- LTP Mattstone
- Aquamix Sealers Choice Gold

The rooms to be sealed are 2 x bathrooms with wet areas - predominantly polished travertine (i know some say this doesn't need sealing, but i'd rather be safe) and some filled/honed travertine mosaics/bricks

Opinions please on which gives the best balance of doing the job well and standing up to the test of time vs cost.. (poll!)

Matt stone will be great for polished.. You can get LTP MPG sealer but matt stone will suffice for travertine ans whether it is polished or honed it needs sealing.

Thanks Dave - i was veering toward aquamix but looks like LTP/Lithofin is leading the way in the poll (though not many votes yet!!)

I shall now veer toward the LTP!!

The Matt stone will be half the price of the Sealer's choice gold... so the choice is yours..

I use both makes..

But is sealers choice twice as good? I'm so confused!

IMO NO it isn't twice as good.. to deserve the price tag.. but is a good sealer and is water based.. but it does go further than some sealer's due to the actual content of sealer ratio to solvent/water content than some others.

right - i'm settled on the ltp matt stone - winner by a narrow margin - where's the best (i.e. cheapest!) place to buy it from!!
