I have tackled ceramic tiling in a bathroom before around bath and sink, I used a 6mm square notched trowel. I am now going to tackle my old shower which I have ripped out I have re studded the wall and sheeted it with green board Gyproc and tanked it. I have 300x300mm ceramic tiles. I intend to use bagged Bal flex adhesive for these tiles within the shower area. I have read several posts relating to trowel size and I am a bit confused. The walls are flat and plumb.
Do I need a thin bed solid bed trowel, if so which size, v - shaped, square notch or U- shaped, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm etc.
Any help would be appreciated
