Hi Guys,

Bought a DW250N and it won't cut straight.
With a 600*300mm porcelain tile cut 300mm way it runs out 6mm.

It's just come back after a month at Rubi being sorted and first cut 2.5mm out now back to 6mm out.

Seriously annoying me and it's going back to the shop as "not fit for purpose"

What do you guys suggest.

Don't usually go much larger than 600*300mm and usually porcelain

Thanks
Richard

Hi Rich.. those rail cutters are on nylon bearings and the play at the cutter head is stupid IMHO...

I sold mine and got a Dewalt D24000 , great cutter but has limitations when doing L-cuts as the post to the left only allows around a 300mm cut out.. bit is a cracking machine . i have had mine for just under 3 years now and love it..

I have a new machine arriving monday and will see how it fairs to the dewalt.. so if you hang on , then wait for a review..

My Sigma 10M is an all round cracker and is 6byear old now, bearing might need changing now as a slight wobble on blade noticeable but that's it and Derek has bearing on the way for me.
It'd be good to see how the 9p goes.
I'm testing a Tyrolit at the minute too and it's like a Dewalt.

I did hear you were testing one.. please do report back in a review thread pleas Joe..

my 10m must be over 12 years old now and still going ok.
got the 9m as well and about same age .
trouble is now i tend to use the bigger dual overhead rail saws alimanta 85 and 120 most of the time .
and they are these aluminium saws are easier to use for large format stone. they certainly are not as well made as the sigma 9m and 10m though.
