This is a question out of interest more than anything.
When im tiling rendered walls, i allways apd the walls and use ctf3. Definatly so if the tiles are porcelain.
I've occasionally used white star if a customer wants it done a bit cheaper, but i allways try and use ctf3 if i can.
Does anyone else stick with ctf3 for all tiles on rendered walls or do any of you use predominantly white star (or other manufacturers equivalent)
Mainly asking this question as i met a guy today who said he'd been tiling for 20 years, but he'd never heard of ctf3 when i reccomended it. I thought this was a tad unusual... or is it just me being over cautious? He ended up buying Howtex fermagrip much to my horror.
I was trained to use ctf on render, and whitestar on plaster/wood, and to just forget about blue and green, and ive allways stuck with it. Having never had tiles come off after ive put them up im not about to change my techniques now either, just wondering about everyone elses thoughts.
