[Time's Ran Out]

My Dad would say to me 'the day you treat tiling as a job and not a hobby, will be the day you make money!'
That was 35 years ago and I'd been tiling for 6 years then.
He took early retirement from the Civil Service and came to work with me to fill in his time and thoroughly enjoyed it, realising that he'd never had such job satisfaction in all his working life.
He did however have a good pension as a result and had a really interesting retirement for the next 29 years.
Me, I am fortunate that I have no mortgage, just an expensive family to keep and so feel that the type of tiling available to me now is well paid and enjoyable.

I worked in a supermarket for 11 years before I started tiling full time, including nightshifts. I'll never forget how much I hated some of those years, tiling will always be a paid hobby for me.
